Why is it that every time I blink, another month has passed? When I glance back at the previous month, I am pleased with some accomplishments. Yet, I am nagged by some things I've let slide--like working on my own writing. Fortunately, every time I return to the novel I've been working on for years(!), I still feel that passion to complete it. These characters live in my heart and mind every bit as much as many "real" people do. They continue to amuse me, frustrate me, and challenge me. 

What is it you let slide? Do you make your personal writing a priority? Do you let too many days, weeks, months go between those late nights when you still feverishly work on it? I certainly cannot judge. I am guilty. 

I am also not getting any younger. The daily obituary column lists as many or more who are younger than me than older. What if that grim reaper shows up and I haven't finished my life's work?
